Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions:

No Cash Value. The Gift Certificate purchased carries no cash value and cannot be redeemed for a cash amount. Gift Certificates may only be redeemed in exchange for a reduction or payment in full (subject to the Gift Certificate value) of:We also are happy to provide redemption of your GuestServe Gift Certificate in exchange for non-travel-related services provided by our other members including:
- a stay in accommodations at a participating GuestServe accommodation subscriber (participating B&Bs)
- a Shaw Festival Vacation Package (details). These are booked through Theatre Vacations Inc., a registered travel agency in the province of Ontario
- Niagara Helicopters rides (book now)
- Dining at either the Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room or Casa Mia Ristorante in Niagara Falls (inquire)
Payment Failure for Gift Certificate. Our Gift Certificate system issues gift certificates after completion of the PayPal payment processing. If the purchaser's payment through PayPal is rejected or refunded or withdrawn, then the Gift Certificate shall be made Null and Void and all parties who may have an interest in the gift certificate shall be notified including you the purchaser, the Gift Certificate recipient (if they have been sent the Gift Certificate at the time of payment failure), and the lodging owner who may have been pre-notified of a pending redemption of the Gift Certificate at their property. Please make every effort to insure that your payment goes through.
Electronic Redemption. You do not require to possess a paper hard copy of the Gift Certificate in order to enjoy the redemption of the available funds. The Gift Certificate Code Number may be inputted electronically where indicated in the GuestServe Reservation System when the Guest makes his/her reservation.
No Refunding of Fees. There will be no refund of any portion of the Gift Certificate value. In situations where a balance remains on the Gift Certificate, that balance can be applied to a separate stay at the same or other participating property or to another Shaw Festival Vacations Package (in cases where Gift Cert was denoted as such) .
Extra Accommodation Charges. Any extra charges incurred that exceed the Gift Certificate amount will be the responsibility of the Guest.
Notification To Lodging Owner. The Guest will be responsibility for supplying the Gift Certificate Code shown on the Gift Certificate to the Lodging Owner at the time of booking and prior to arrival at the place of accommodation. Gift Certificate values will be verified by the Lodging Owner and Gift Certificates that are revealed to the Lodging Owner as already redeemed or invalid may result in refusal of service by the Lodging Owner to the Guest. If the price of accommodation (or any other applicable service) exceeds the total value of the Gift Certificate, the Guest may be required to provide credit card details or a security deposit.
Deposit Requirements and Cancellations. The Guest should be fully aware that participating Lodging Owners have highly variant deposit and cancellation policies. In addition to providing a valid Gift Certificate, some Lodging Owners may rightfully request credit card information and authorization to transact a deposit amount or to "hold" the room for the Guest. It shall be the responsibility of the Guest and the Lodging Owner to ensure that any prepaid deposits be deducted from their total bill when the account is settled. Gift Certificates may NOT be used as security deposits in any way by either the Lodging Owner or the Guest. Gift Certificates may NOT be used as compensation to Lodging Owners for Guest cancellations or Guest no-shows regardless of the Lodging Owners' various policies. While the Lodging Owner may require the Guest to settle his/her account on arrival at the Lodging, Gift Certificates may only be redeemed by the Lodging Owner for payment once the Guest stay is concluded. Guests are advised to obtain clear Deposit/Cancellation policies in writing from the Lodging of their choice.
Checking the Gift Certificate Value. At any time, the Gift Certificate holder may lookup and verify the initial and remaining value of their Gift Certificate by visiting http://www.GuestServe.com and clicking on the Gift Certificate information links.
Expiration of Gift Certificate. The GuestServe Gift Certificate does not have an expiration date.
Lost or Stolen Gift Certificates. While gift certificates are a handy way to make purchases, it's difficult to track them if they get lost or stolen. Please be sure to print a copy of the certificate right away and treat it like cash. In the event of a Gift Certificate being lost, destroyed or missing BEFORE it has been redeemed, please contact us via email. If the Gift Certificate has not been redeemed at all, we will make every effort to cancel that Gift Certificate and reissue a replacement. Please note while we will make every effort to assist our clients some circumstances are beyond our control and could result in a total loss.
Gift Certificate Purchases Permitted. Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase Gift Certificates. Unless these terms and conditions are modified, the only purchase available to GuestServe Gift Certificate holders will be:
- accommodations at participating GuestServe accommodation subscribers or
- purchases of Theatre Vacations Packages (if gift certificate is denoted as such)

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. Please consult the aforementioned website to view current posted terms and conditions in the Gift Certificate information screens.
NON-WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY ALL DESCRIPTIONS AND INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT THAT A GIFT CERTIFICATE CODE IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CERTIFICATE.
NO WARRANTY OF SUITABLE ACCOMMODATIONS. BY ISSUING THIS GIFT CERTIFICATE, GUESTSERVE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF THE GUEST'S CHOSEN ACCOMMODATIONS. GUESTSERVE DOES NOT WARRANTY THE SUITABILITY OF ACCOMMODATIONS. GUESTSERVE DOES NOT WARRANTY ANY ASPECT OF THE GUEST'S INTERACTION OR TRANSACTION WITH THE LODGING REPRESENTATIVES AT THE PLACE WHERE THE GUEST REDEEMS THE GIFT CERTIFICATE. GUESTSERVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DISPUTES BETWEEN THE GUEST AND THE LODGING OWNER.
